In the Indian Business Promotion Scheme (IBPS) launched by the central government to expand IT-based services in the second and third-tier cities, the state gets the maximum number of seats in the IBPS.
YSRCP Rajya Sabha Member Vijaya Sai Reddy requested the Center to allocate a maximum number of seats to the state in the Indian Business Promotion Scheme (IBPS) launched by the Central Government to expand IT-based services in the second and third-tier cities. He said that IBPS is playing a vital role in increasing the employment of women in rural India. Under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the highest number of women have been employed in AP in the country. He has written a letter to Union Minister of State for IT Rajeev Chandrasekaran. In this scheme jointly organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the Center will mobilize funds for the companies under the Viability Gap Fund. Through IBPS, Visakhapatnam-headquartered Pulsus Group has provided employment to 5,000 people and has become the first in the country. 4,000 of them are women. STPI has released Rs.41 crores to the Pulse Group under the second phase of the scheme. Gedela Srinubabu, CEO of Pulsus Group, also submitted a petition to Union Minister Chandrasekaran, seeking to increase IBPS seats in AP. Srinubabu said that it is an honor to be able to partner with IBPS to create a foundation and thereby contribute to economic growth. He said that this is proof of their unmatched commitment to bringing the digital revolution across the country. He explained that the Pulsus Group has created more than 25 thousand jobs in rural areas for fifteen years, and most of them have been provided to women.
