The pharmaceutical sector is excited about the Global Tech Summit 2023, which will be held in Visakhapatnam on February 16-17. The Global Tech Summit team, led by Dr. Srinubabu Gedela, CEO of Pulsus Group, recently hosted a roadshow and business-to-biopharma digital transformation policy design conference in Nagpur as part of the 72nd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, which will be placed between January 20th and 22nd, 2023.
The Global Tech Summit brought together 50 influential policymakers, global pharma experts, and other decision-makers to discuss how the event is becoming a revolutionary platform for the application of cutting-edge technology in drug discovery, regulatory affairs, and making medicine more affordable for all.
Participants heard from important industry experts on the problems facing regulators in digital healthcare during the Round Table Series of Biopharma Digital Transformation Policy Deliberations.
The International Pharmaceutical Federation's President, Dr. Dominique Jordan, emphasized the potential influence of technology on drug discovery. "Digital transformation may assist the pharmaceutical business in a variety of ways, including enhanced drug research, patient care, and contact; technology can help make medication more inexpensive and accessible; it can lower carbon footprint; and it can increase supply chain transparency." Dr. Jordan stated.
The Global Tech Summit team and experts in attendance also highlighted the relevance of leveraging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning in medication research.
"Regulators must strike a balance between stimulating innovation and preserving public health," said Dr. H.G. Koshia, Commissioner of Gujarat's Food and Drug Control Administration.
"Digital transition in the pharmaceutical business is unavoidable," said Abhijit Ghosh, Assistant Drug Controller at the Medical Device Standards Control Organization.
